TRONDHEIM, Feb 25, 2026 – Villa Nord is delighted to announce the appointment of Helene Skjenneberg as General Manager of the first boutique hotel in Trondheim.

With roots dating back to the city's first hotel from 1837, “Hôtel du Nord,” the beautiful buildings in Dronningens gate are currently undergoing a total renovation. They are set to reopen as Villa Nord in November 2026. A legacy of nearly 200 years of hospitality will be carried forward in a historic manor where tradition meets the present, and the timeless quality of fine craftsmanship is brought to the forefront.

Helene Skjenneberg has an extensive background in the hospitality industry, with wide-ranging experience in both operations and strategic development. She has led complex projects through both startup and transformation phases, including playing a key role in the development of Sommerro. Helene joins us most recently from her position as Hotel Director at Hotel Riviera.

At Villa Nord, she and her team will create a boutique hotel that blends the site's history with modern guest experiences.
